Frustration!

Three weeks. Three weeks of glorious sunshine and perfect cycling weather where neither Dave or I have been cycling due to poxy knee injuries!
We have been blessed with lovely weather over the past couple of weeks and you would think that we would be taking maximum advantage of it and clocking up the miles on the bike but noooooo!
About a month ago Dave and i were cycling to Henley on Thames when Dave pulled up with a painful knee. he had twisted it earlier during the week playing with his daughter and the pain was just getting worse and worse the more he cycled. Bad luck. No point aggravating it further so we decided discretion is the better part of valour and went to the pub!
Three weeks ago I was cycling through the Surrey hills on my way back from a 50 mile round trip through some beautiful countryside I had recently discovered, when i felt a twinge in my right knee. On my return I didn't think too much about it but kept it elevated for the rest of the evening. Next day, hello! My knee had swollen to half again it's normal size.
A couple of weeks before I had been to a Slayer gig in London and between crowd surfing and the mosh pit i think I twisted it slightly. My hill cycling had obviously aggravated it further. Bugger.
However, Dave is now free of pain and so am I. I'm praying the weather lasts and come the weekend, come the cycling!
